Fantasy Flight Games объявила о том, что осенью выйдет первый том «The Art of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice & Fire». Издание в твердом переплете будет содержать 200 иллюстраций сцен книги, персонажей и пейзажей. Издатель сообщает, что это не копия издания 2005 года (которое было распродано, как только появилось), что за 5 лет они пересмотрели, отредактировали содержание, хотя во многом, конечно, и повторили. Впрочем, это верно лишь для первого тома в серии. Fantasy Flight Games обещает, что будут и другие, целая коллекция, а стоимость первого тома около $30.

It has shipped today and I will receive it within the week. I will report back soon for all those here that need wait much longer.
I have a pretty good feeling they wont do a complete reprint of the older one that had a limited printing. I'm hoping FFG put a lot more new art and did away with the poorer imagery. I'm praying that way anyway.
I don't remember FFG stating in their first news post about the book that it would in large be a reprint. If I remember right it was going to be nearly entirely new with some old art. But we'll find out soon enough.
I'll also get to meet the man himself in November on a three day event. Get my three 1st edition/1st prints silver dust jacket of AGOT s signed. YAY! He's going to think I'm some nut.

Well at least I got a copy for both my children. hehe.
Received my copy today. And as an owner of the 2005 limited edition true first printing, with this reprinting, I can say I'm quite pleased. I was hoping it would be filled with more art that wasn't in the 2005. Which it does.
It contains a lot of what the 2005 edition has. But the images are shrunk down to add in easily close to half the contents more of new images, plus the inside is designed quite nicely. And there are many more quotes in this. That go along well with the images.
You wont be disappointed at all if its your first, and you'll be still happy if its the second!
Its a bit hard to give a list of all the artists. But if you have a request to know what art may be depicted from what artist from what character or part of westerosi or Essos I'd be happy to ablige. There is also new art I've never seen before. But then again I don't buy all the CCG or boardgames based on the series.

They have a new piece of art from Patrick McEvoy. A two page illustration of Dany with her three dragons on a ship.
They definatley added more art to certain characters that had very few if none at all the last time.
Sorry, the first part of my response about the new Dany illustration was a new favorite piece.

Я действительно заказал не на оф.сайте FFG. А разве нужно обязательно заказывать там? Я заказал в крупном американском интернет магазине, который специализируется как раз на продукции FFG.
Ну тогда кидайте ссылочку, коли не жалко. А то ведь 64 и 32 — почувствуй разницу — еще вторую заказывать надо, да и арт по ктулху скоро на ffg появится. каждую брать по 60 — дороговато а 2 за 60 так вообще неплохо
Такая сумма при кооперативном заказе. Мы с друзьями заказывали кому что нужно. Общий заказ у нас около 170 долларов. Моя доля с книгой составила мои 33. Если заказывать только книгу без ничего то если память не изменяет будет 56

Да, совместный заказ удешевляет. Я приводила где-то выше вычисления для 1, 2, 10 наименований в одном заказе =) Свои плюсы, свои минусы =)
А сколько надо вносить при корпоративном заказе и куда?

Another one of my favorites in the new first edition, that was also in the 2005 edition but was much smaller, which has now been enlarged to see more detail. Is the painting depicting the drawbridge gate wall at Winterfell by Torstein Nordstrand. I'm surprised this site doesn't have any of his work in your Gallery section.
Torstein Nordstrand has outstanding art but in the net I couldn't find anything inspirited by Martin
